Let's Do Life Together

Let's Do Life Together

The church began with a small handful of members meeting in an old schoolhouse on Bloomington’s south side. Today New Life is a vibrant, growing congregation dedicated to helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We are committed to taking the good news of Jesus’ salvation to the workplace and the marketplace.

Come out this Sunday and try us out!  We believe you’ll enjoy your experience and connect with others. Our desire is for you to encounter God in a way that causes you to adopt a lifestyle of radically obedient discipleship to Jesus. Let’s do life together at New Life Fellowship!

"I am the way and the truth and the life."

Our purpose is to be an ever-expanding family of genuine believers that boldly proclaims the TRUTH, HOPE, and LIFE discovered only through relationship with Christ on God’s terms.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."

MARK 12:30

Our Mission is to love God and love people by: worshiping God, evangelizing the lost, discipling believers, and showing Christ’s compassion at home and abroad (Mark 12:30-31, Jeremiah 29:13).

Our Mission is what life looks like when we are living out our values. As our mission brings focus to our purpose for existing, then our core values define the way in which the vision of our church will unfold. Fellowship.

"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved..."

Acts 16:31

As a church family we hold at our center four core beliefs: Salvation Through Jesus Christ, Divine Healing, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the Second Coming of Christ.  These beliefs are expressed uniquely through our core values and drive our heart. If you call New Life your church family then we want you to have a clear picture of what life and ministry ought to look like here. We also want you to have a clear understanding of the empowerment you have when it comes to participating in and creating avenues of life and ministry as a part of New Life.

  • Passionately Proclaim, at home and abroad and by word and deed, Jesus as: Savior, Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon Coming King.
  • Strategically Invest in the next generation.
  • Vigorously Plant new churches and revitalize existing ones.
  • Skillfully Resource families, our communities, and The Church.
  • Fervently Pray for God’s favor and help as we serve Him with pure hearts and a noble purpose.

The best is yet to come.

We endeavor to be a church with a pioneering spirit. Our call is to empower Christ Followers to do the work of the ministry while providing a point of contact for people to encounter the living Christ in a way that is unquestionably transformative. Ours is and will be an atmosphere where Bible-based discipleship is encouraged, passionate pursuit of Jesus is normal, and radical obedience to the presence of the Holy Spirit is how we live.

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power."
1 Corinthians 4:20

We hope you'll take a few moments to explore our "Statement of Fundamental Truths," which contains the 16 doctrines of the Assemblies of God. These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. Four of these: Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ are considered Cardinal Doctrines which are essential to The Church's core mission of reaching the world for Christ.  For a more comprehensive explanation and biblical references for each tenent click on the desired item.
