Wendy has served New Life as Worship Arts Director for the past two years. Prior to this, she was the music director/worship leader for 19 years. Her experience in church music ministry began at age 12 playing the piano in church services. The calling to be a worship leader came when Seiler was about 24 years old. At the start of this assignment she thought she was simply stepping in to meet a need in her church family. It was during this “temporary stent” that she recognized that her service was truly a call into ministry.
The heart of Wendy’s ministry is leading people into the active, living presence of God. It operates under the premise that, “The Church exists to carry the presence of God through worship. To settle for doing anything less is to waste time.” Wendy also has a heart to train up the next generation to recognize and walk in the presence of God, while leading others into biblical worship. She loves seeing the next generation step up and people engaged in true worship.
Wendy has been married to Steve Seiler for almost 25 years. They have four children: Mark, Seth, Luke and Elise. She has a BS in Computer Science and a Music Minor from Evangel University has taught private piano and voice lessons for 10 years. In her free time Wendy enjoys reading a good book, walking, crocheting, and visiting with friends with these activities enhanced with good coffee.
