Walking-Out Faith for Healing

Christ Has Set Us Free!  Can you believe it!?!
Though it is controversial, I believe, and I invite you to believe, healing is available for every New Testament believer in Jesus Christ as Lord.  I myself have witnessed and experienced numerous miraculous healings that only God could bring to pass.  I am writing this to encourage you to believe God for your healing and for that of others.  If He did it for me, friend I believe, He will do it for you.  A miracle is about to happen…believe it!

Galatians 5:1 ESV
1For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

On this side of eternity we are slaves to our mortal bodies without the hope of Christ.  Because of Jesus we can believe and experience healing purchased by his blood sacrifice on the cross and sealed with His glorious resurrection power.  In Christ we no longer have to be slaves to the human condition.  That is good news!

Galatians 5:13 ESV
13For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

Jesus doesn’t just make us free but he calls us out unto freedom.  He saves us from sin and unto freedom…This means He saves us even from the sickness, disease and death that are the fruit of this fallen and sinful world.  In Christ we find healing and eternal life, whether on this side of eternity or the next is up to Him.  What he did for us in rising from the dead is incredible.  He shares that same Spirit that raised Him with us.  So as we share in Jesus’ death by our surrender to His Lordship we also share in His resurrection by standing on His promises and walking them out until we see Him face to face.  Healing  is truly one of the great mysteries of the cross. Divine healing is the blessing that only God can add to us. He does so through the blood of Jesus and power of the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 2:24 ESV
24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.By his wounds you have been healed.

Isaiah 53:4-5 ESV
4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

In our suffering He is present with us.  Scripture teaches us that Christ is near to broken hearted and downcast.  Friend He is more interested in the issues of our lives than we are…because He loves us that much.  While I do not understand why God heals on this side of eternity in some cases and not in others, I believe it is still our responsibility as believers to believe Jesus to do what only He can do.  After all He is our authority in every matter of life and spirituality.  I believe not only can God heal us but He desires to s well.  His healing is for us not against us!  We believe healing occurs as a result of Jesus' blood.  No circumstance of our life that leaves us broken and infirmed, mentally or physically is beyond His ability.  His heart is about reaching the lost and forgotten.  Impossibilities are His specialty.   Jesus touches the untouchable, transforms the broken into whole people.  If we believe Jeus desires to change hearts why can’t we believe that He desires to changes lives?…Literally He changes the state in which we are living from sick to healed?  As believers we are called by God not only to believe Him for our healing but to declare to whosoever is willing to listen that He is “The Healer” that we need!  When we believe Jesus for healing enough to seek out those in need of His touch we are bringing them into his very presence.  Come on Holy Spirit!

Matthew 8:14-17 ESV
14 And when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever. 15He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him. 16That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. 17This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”

I hope that you are getting a picture of His vast love.  I hope you are seeing that healing is but one facet…and I would argue a prominent one at that, of the ways in which Jesus constantly reveals himself to humankind.  It is incredible….Yet the idea of healing angers some and causes joy unspeakable in others.  It inspires hope in some and doubt in others…But no matter where we fall in our thoughts on it…one thing is sure…we need it.   This old world is full of death, pain and suffering but He comes with healing in His wings!  Hallelujah! And the best part is, He is coming again!

Hebrews 9:28 ESV
28so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

I want to encourage you during this season of “pressing in,” work your faith muscle friend.  In this era of social distancing and rampant fear, reach out and pray for those around you, especially those who are sick.  Pray in the name of Jesus.  Pray boldly because of the blood of Jesus. After all its His power and His reputation we are appealing to.

Buckle your seatbelts friends Jesus is on the move!

Pray:
Ask the Lord to transform your faith into a fierce believing faith not a doubting affinity.  Ask the Lord to give you faith to trust Him to work through your simple and available prayers for healing and miracles that only He can do.  Ask the Lord to glorify Himself through you as you become a vessel of His glory and honor.  Repent of settling for the coils of this fallen and sinful world.  Write it out from your heart.  Be honest where you struggle with doubts but then be willing to leave them at the foot of the cross.
