Day 17
God Wants to Give You Faith for The Impossible
Mark 11:22-24 ESV
22And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
What are the things in our lives that leave us thinking they can never or will never change. There are those coworkers that are so lost they’ll “never change.” There is that relative whose heart is so wounded they will “never change.” Or that neighbor whose heart is so hard they’ll “never change.” That health situation that is sp grave, It will “never change.” It is IMPOSSIBLE. Or even worse we remark about how badly the “need Jesus” as if it is somebody else's responsibility to bring them or the situation in question with you, into His presence. Come on somebody! Get ready Might Man of God! Get ready mighty woman of God!
In the Presence of Jehovah
In and out of situations
that tug of war at me,
All day long I struggle
for the answers that I need.
But when I come into His presence
All my questions become clear,
And in that sacred moment
No doubts can interfere.
Chorus:
In the presence of Jehovah,
God Almighty, Prince of Peace,
Troubles vanish, hearts are mended,
In the presence of the King.
Through His love the Lord provided
A place for us to rest,
A place to find the answers,
In our hour of distress.
Now there's never any reason
For you to give up in despair;
Just slip away and breathe His name,
You will surely find Him there.
Music and Lyrics by Becky Davis and Geron Davis
Listen Christ-follower, you are called by God to bear His presence wherever you go.Be confident in this design. What would happen if we’d start asking God, consistently, for the impossible mad possible? What would happen if we’d start asking God to use us to that end? What would happen if we then began to pay attention with the expectation that nobody beats God at chess? Let the enemy make his move. God has you positioned…and He knows every move possible and has already charted a course for victory. He is determined to glorify Himself.
What would happen if we’d allow the Holy Spirit to give us vision for the impossible circumstances around us and within us? What would happen if we weren’t satisfied to receive a vision alone but then we started to proclaim it in agreement with the Holy Spirit in the place of prayer? What would happen if we started travailing in the place of prayer until what we have seen in the Spirit we see in the flesh? What would happen if we started praying prayers that require God’s intervention to come to pass?
My! My! God is about to work a miracle! Are you looking for it? Something good is about to happen.
Pray:
What situation(s) seem impossible in your life? Make a list. Submit this list before the Lord. Call out these situations and people before the Lord and then volunteer yourself. “God if you can use me to be your hands and feet in this situation. use me. I won’t tell you no.” Spend some time asking God for what His vision is for your impossible situations and then begin to declare what He sees in the place of prayer. Write down what you are declaring in prayer. Be bold! Be consistent with this practice and watch Him bring it to pass!
