16 I pray that out of his glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
I am excited that you have chosen to participate in Feasting by Fasting by setting aside 21 days to pray, fast and draw near to God. Fasting is not just an exercise for super-spiritual people. It is actually supposed to a part of every believer's spiritual life. Personally, I have found there is no better way to reset my spiritual compass and bring about change and discipline in every area of my life than through fasting.
Thanksgiving comes every year, like clockwork. Summer evaporates into fall. The breeze turns cool, then cold. Leaves start to die and fall off of the trees. Let the raking begin!! And winter, well, it’s around the corner. In the midst of all these changes comes Thanksgiving.
